Gold Hope Session | Dylan
Giving Back to the Community
I have the privilege of being part of The Gold Hope Project. This organization is a group of photographers who offer their time and talent to families who have little ones battling pediatric cancer.
Giving back to the community has been on my mind since I started my business three years ago and I joined as soon as I learned about them. I wondered when I would get my first email. I was so excited when I finally got one in August.
I met Dylan and his family a few weeks ago at the UC Davis Arboretum. His mom asked if his brothers should be included in the shoot. When I learned that they do everything together, the answer was obvious.
The UC Davis Arboretum
The arboretum has 100 acres of gardens, plant collections, and trees on the UC Davis campus. There happens to be a nice big lawn near the Carolee Shields White Flower Garden and Gazebo, and I thought this would be a great place to have a photo session with 3 active boys. Truth be told though, their father had as much fun directing them as they had running around!
