At-home photo documentary session in Roseville CA
I love being able to do sessions with people that I know and adore. That’s the case with Kristin and Joe—I’ve known Kristin for 13 years now, ever since I met her when my daughter, now 15, was in the daycare where she was teaching. So, I was thrilled when Kristin asked me to meet up with her family for a documentary family session!
Kristin had wanted an afternoon at the park, but it ended up raining that afternoon. Not to be deterred, they spent the day in the house, blowing bubbles and having fun. Joe and Kristin both were keeping up with 2-year-old Alexandra as she rode her tricycle around the living room, wore her mom’s boots, and created lots of paintings. Apparently, her favorite color is purple, because when Alex found the purple paint, she squealed with delight!
I don’t have one favorite moment from this session—the whole thing was so much fun. I loved seeing how patient Joe and Kristin were with Alex and how loving they were as a family. But I do have to say that I love the image of Alex looking through the bubbles as well as the one where she is riding her tricycle behind the dining room table!
Kristin & Joe, thank you for inviting me into your home and letting me capture these memories for you. I hope that you will be able to cherish them for years to come!
