A Child Sunset photoshoot in Roseville CA
like nobody's watching
like you've never been hurt
like nobody's listening
like it's heaven on Earth
I met Alex and her mom for her child portrait session at a park before sunset. True to my "Free Spirited Child" model call, I allowed her to wear whatever she wanted and I brought props for her to play with. I had no instruction for her with what to do with (or without) them. She wanted to wear her flouncy skirt first; it was a challenge to spin in the long dry grass, but I had to give her credit for trying LOL
As you'll notice, she also brought a cape. She was a lot of fun posing as a superhero...I asked her to hold it above her head. Her arms weren't long enough, so she wrapped it around her head instead...oh, we laughed!
I loved that Alex chose to play with so many of my scarves...The white one was actually a very light curtain that I found at a thrift store. Her mom was so great at lifting it above her head and playing with it while Alex danced underneath.
And of course, a child photo session without bubbles is just crazy LOL
I think Alex agrees - during my first session with her family, we played with bubbles in her home. Based on the picture below, I think she had just as much, if not more, fun as we did last year.
Thank you Kristin for nominating your amazing daughter for my Free Spirited Child Model Call. I always enjoy spending time with your family and this was no exception.
