An outdoor family documentary session at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center in Carmichael CA
We had such beautiful weather a few weeks ago. It's that time of year when the temperature has cooled to a nice crispy air and long hikes don't make you sweat like they do in the summer time.
I had a outdoor documentary session with the Pendleton family at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center. It is located in Carmichael CA and has lovely meandering trails in woody areas by the river. If you go there in the evening, you will see the deer that make the center their home. This evening, we spotted a deer and her fawn.
I had an in-home family documentary session with them last year. I always enjoy seeing them during our photo sessions, especially their kids. Their youngest, Max has gotten so big and has started to talk so much compared to when I first met them. Alex and Isabelle are thriving at the Montessori school they are attending, and it shows. I learned all about rocks from Alex, and Isabelle showed me some of the yoga poses that she is learning from her teacher.
My favorite part of the session was seeing Azy and Anthony interact with their children. It was fun to see them point out different things and have a discussion with their kids about them. What a surprise to see how much they know!
On our way back our cars, I took one of my favorite photos from the evening. I love the warm glow from the setting sun and I thought it was so sweet that Max, the youngest, was leading them.
