I met Laureina about 6 years ago when my son was in Kindergarten. Her 2 twin boys were still riding in a stroller (!) When I learned that she also had 3 daughters, I remember wondering where in the world she got her energy! She is also one of the kindest and patient people I know, so I was very happy to be able to photograph her with her children for a Mom & Me Photoshoot.
Her boys are now in kindergarten and her oldest is about to graduate from 8th grade. Her twin girls will be graduating next year. They are growing up to be such beautiful young ladies!
I love capturing the sweet relationship between moms and their daughters; add 2 rambunctious brothers to the mix and you have a very energized but loving photo session.
We met in Old Folsom. It's an area I use often - it has a lot of different backdrops as well as areas where children can run around.
I laughed whenever my directions were interpreted incorrectly, or not at all. Take the photo below for instance. I told her boys to run to their mom and give her a hug from behind. Kyler decided instead to cuddle on her lap. Not exactly what I was thinking but we went with it.
They wanted to "try again" which resulted in the photo below. I forgot to mention that Laureina has a great laugh, and I can still hear it when I look at her face as her boys followed my directions this time and looked at the camera so I could take this shot. Something tells me that they just liked the idea of running back and forth on the bridge LOL!
Thank you Laureina for answering my Mom & Me Model Call! It was so nice to see you and I am glad all of you enjoyed our photoshoot.
